Bangkok Trip (17-21 Jan'07) Day 2

Heading to Grand Palace early in the morning.
Daniel having a good shot in front of the local Thai students.

Inside the Grand Palace.

Please don't forget to dress respectfully when going into Grand Palace. Otherwise you will have to wear an extra suit that they let you rent. Please see this example.

Small version of Angkor Wat.

One of the wall painter was paying full concerntration to finish their artwork. I believe it took very long time to do this. It is quite amazing @_@!

Going to MBK.

MBK shopping centre.

Super duper hot & spicy Thai noodle that you can get in the foodcourt at 6th floor. Although I was hungry at that time, I really could not finish it. My friend told me that the 'Siew Long Pao' is also very nice there.

Outside Paragon shopping complex.

Yawaraj night view.

Bangkok Trip (17-21 Jan'07) Day 1

4.25pm departed from KLIM ICCT airport. Arrived Bangkok 5.30pm.

Took a taxi from airport to White Orchid Hotel, Chinatown (Yawaraj). 900baht. I think it was a bit too expensive even though it was 4 of us sharing.

Bangkok time is 1 hour later than Malaysia. At 7pm, we were already starving.
This was our first meal in Bangkok. Seafood tom yam, fresh oyster (with chili padi), kailan cooked with mushroom and chicken cooked with vege.

After dinner, we headed to Suan Lum night bazaar. Our first experience with Tok-tok was very exciting and scary. We think the driver was a bit crazy. But we had a very fun experience. This is the driver, Daniel likes him very much. Haha...

Took a picture in front of the Ferris Wheel.

Lots of fashionable stuff can be found here. Trendy clothes, stylish accessories, shoes, handbags, souvenir. We almost couldn't control ourselves at the first day. The people are friendly and nice. Some shops have no fitting room. Here is how Siew Jen was trying on the clothes.
